The client desired a house which represented how he lived his life. His profession as a pilot meant spending uncertain periods away from home & consequently he wanted a house that did not need to be artifically heated when unoccupied. Our response was to design a super-insulated house coupled with the exploitation of the site’s orientation and clever planning in order to maximise the benefit of the southern aspect.
